Procurement Journey | What’s Changed?

One of the main features of the Cyd.Cymru website is the ‘Procurement Journey’ –  a section designed to guide you from the beginning to the end of the cycle.

The Cyd Procurement Journey stages of ‘Plan’, ‘Define’, ‘Procure’ and ‘Manage’ align with the structure and suite of guidance documents being published by the Cabinet Office, which address all aspects of the new Procurement Act 2023.

We’ve been busy updating the content across the stages, so that you have even more information available to support you in your work.

To help you make the most of navigating the resources available to you, we’ve summarised the highlights of the changes here:

  • Two stages of the Cyd Procurement Journey – ‘Procure‘ and ‘Manage‘ – have been updated with expanded content that provides practical guidance and links to additional supporting resources;
  • Within the ‘Procure‘ stage there’s now content that will help with the end-to-end process – from finalising procurement packs and advertising opportunities, through to applying exclusions and selection criteria, evaluating tenders and awarding, and signing and publishing contracts;
  • Within the ‘Manage’ stage there’s now content that will help with proactively managing service delivery and supplier relationships once contracts have been awarded, as well as modifying, closing and exiting contracts.

We’ll continue to make updates to the Cyd procurement journey, as well as adding other useful content to the site. Sign-up to ‘Pipeline’, Cyd’s monthly newsletter, for updates, case studies and other useful information, direct to your mailbox monthly.
