Introducing Cydrannu

Cydrannu is name of our new knowledge sharing series for procurement and commercial professionals in Wales.  Cydrannu means ‘sharing together’ in Welsh and is core to what Cyd is all about.

We’ll initially be launching as online webinars (we’ll be recording them and making them available on our website to share the content as widely as possible), but we also plan to complement these with several face-to-face sessions to let those that would like to, to get together in person.

We’ll be looking at the topics and issues facing procurement and commercial communities in Wales and hearing from guest speakers and community members who will share their experience and spark conversations.

International learning

Our first webinar in the series will be on Thursday 23 March at 13:00 – 14:00, when we’ll be looking at international good practice in procurement and commercial approaches.  We’ll be hearing from:

  • Ms Gorane Ibarra González from Ihobe (Environmental Agency of the Basque Government), who is responsible for Basque Country’s ‘2030 Basque Green Public Procurement Programme’ that launched in February 2022. As part of their strategy, they prioritised procurement categories and developed standardised green criteria for 30 product areas.”
  • and Warren Smith from the Cyd delivery team, who will be talking about the work Cyd is doing to share good practice and insights.

We’ll then leave time for conversation and questions.
